Graslitzen (2044 m)

The tour is long and steep, but climbers are rewarded with 2 summit crosses and a fantastic view. It is a mountain with many chamois and a very long ridge, not technically difficult, but strenuous due to the great difference in altitude.
tour.Suggestion
If you're lucky, you might see chamois on the Graslitzen, and the pilgrimage church of St. Steben is also very interesting.
tour.Equipment
Normal hiking equipment with good footwear.

Instrukce

From the car park below the cemetery next to the B 111, head north past a well and you will come to a gravel pit. Immediately to the east of this, path no. 54 leads northwards into the forest - turn left before the pasture! Steep, rocky pine forests accompany us until we reach a clearing with the so-called "masonry" hunting lodge at around 1450 metres above sea level, which takes a good 2 1/2 hours to reach. From here you have a beautiful view of the valley to Lake Presseggersee. From here, we climb over steep grassy slopes interspersed with rocks to the Förolacher Sattel, 1840 m, and reach the summit with a magnificent view after 4 hours via the ridge-like ridge to the east on path 229. From there, we continue eastwards along the ridge, which is not very exposed, with the St. Stefaner Alm mountain hut below us to the north, where we take a short break at the summit cross on the secondary summit. Then we descend via path 229 to the Köstendorfer Alm and the so-called Geißrücken, 1500 metres. To descend from here, we take path 56, which leads us steeply, sometimes slippery, to the interesting late Gothic church of St. Steben at 1004 m. From here, it takes us about 45 minutes to reach the starting point via path 56.
