A tour to (bacon)spectacular castle experiences

Crystal-clear winter air, romantic forests and snow-covered paths, the perfect contrast to winter on the piste. After we have plodded across snow-covered meadows and through wintery forests together with Natur Aktiv Guide Hanni, we are welcomed by Hans - the lord of the castle and bacon master - in front of Lerchenhof Castle. What the lord of the castle tells us sounds like a fairy tale, but it is a romantic love story from times gone by. The way to the heart is through the stomach, thus we are introduced to the art of making bacon before sampling delicious slices of Gailtal Valley bacon of various types. The final highlight is a visit to the castle's treasury.
