HP3 Rattendorfer Alm - Pontebba
From the valley station of the Millennium Express in Tröpolach on the road to Rattendorf Here the ascent begins via the forest road to the Rattendorf alpine pasture. After the alpine pasture, the path becomes somewhat more demanding and leads as a cart track to the Zanklhütte. From here the bike has to be pushed/carried for the most part - there are still 130 metres of altitude difference to the Rattendorfer Sattel. The descent on the Italian side begins with a fantastic single trail, which later turns into a gravel road that leads to the Lanzenalm. The asphalt road then leads downhill to Pontebba and over the Nassfeld Pass back to the starting point. The tour can also be done by E-MTB - for the whole round you might have to recharge your battery. Take a charger or spare battery with you.
HIGHLIGHT: Scotti Chapel at KM 14.3
Alternative: from the Lanzenalm via the Straniger Sattel back to Austria and via Stranig and Rattendorf back to the starting point (see tour I2)
