Herwig Ertl is a creative fine food shop proprietor, lateral thinker, he is headstrong and guardian of the fine products in Kötschach-Mauthen. He knows each of his producers and suppliers of fine products personally. He likes to tell stories about the origin and special value of the food that he buys directly. His tasting sessions, events and lectures are legendary, but they are never boring. He arranges encounters between the best producers and his connoisseurs who love Slow Food. Herwig is the head of the Slow Food Alpe Adria convivium, and thus an ambassador for the Slow Food movement.
