Lake Presseggersee
The “bathtub of Gailtal Valley” reaches a comfortable water temperature of up to 28 degrees Celsius in summer and is thus a paradise for everyone wanting to take a dip. Thanks to the countless bathing lidos and adventure playgrounds, it’s also a highlight for families.
Lake Weissensee
Only about 25 kilometres away from the Nassfeld-Pressegger See region, this idyllic relaxation oasis remains one of the regions natural treasures. The 11.6 kilometres long Lake Weissensee is also called the Caribbean of the Alps, and two thirds of its shoreline are kept in their natural state. The crystal-clear and turquoise-blue bathing lake (with up to 25°C water temperature) not only invites its visitors to relax and unwind. It’s also a wonderful location to take a dip, and it boasts a unique feature: Every house along the shore has its own private access to the lake!
Mountain lakes
They’re pristine, emerald-green and often quite cold: the stunningly beautiful mountain lakes in the World of Lakes. Whether you dip your toes in them after a hike or capture them on camera: They’re definitely a must-see while on summer holiday.

Two summer lifts and one cable car take you up to higher altitudes in the Nassfeld region and thus a little closer to picturesque mountain lakes and wonderful scenic views of the surrounding World of Mountains & Lakes.
A little side note: If you’d like to visit Lake Weissensee, you can take the chairlift up to Naggler Alm and then hike to the lake from there.
