The Gailtal valley begins in Carinthia between the Carnic Alps and the Gailtal Alps. Here lies the small village of Kötschach-Mauthen, with a population of about 3500. Directly on the main road and not to be overlooked is a small old pink hotel - our family hotel - the Gailtaler Hof!
