Gasthof Lamprechtbauer

Treasure trove with a view. It is a box seat with a view far into the Gailtal valley, where the Lamprechtbauer has been documented since 1550. Since 1961, the proud hereditary farm high above Mauthen has also welcomed guests, and what began as a snack station is now a widely popular inn with hot and cold cuisine. Johanna and Markus Lamprecht, who took over the farm in 2019, and their two daughters Leonie and Franziska hold on to one family custom in particular: what is served here is homemade. Bacon, sausages, salami and other "meaty" delicacies, for example, butter, curd cheese and curd cheese balls as well as Glundner cheese, bread is often home-baked, the garden provides potatoes and crunchy vegetables, sweet fruit is turned into jams and juices. Also available to take away. Grandpa Ambros keeps an eye on things in the barn, helps with serving and makes sure there's plenty of fun to be had. Meanwhile, Johanna and Markus keep the kitchen stocked with delicacies - for their guests in the pretty parlour and on the terrace with the breathtaking view.
