The Gail river boasts a great variety of fish, ranging from grayling to trout and Danube salmon, and a total of 40 kilometres of fly-fishing areas.

Please keep in mind: Fly-fishing is only allowed with a maximum of one bait and with barbless hooks. In addition, a maximum of two rainbow trout can be harvested per day.

“Gailfluss Egg” fishing area:

The fishing area extends from the confluence of Garnitzenbach to Görtschacher Brücke.
