Directions
From Villach:
From the A2 south motorway, take the Hermagor exit and continue on the B111 to Khünburg. Follow the signs to the railway station (turn right in Khünburg and drive under the subway).

From Hermagor:
Take the B111 towards Villach, in Khünburg (after approx. 3 km) turn left at the turning lane and drive under the subway to the railway station.

Directions

From the bus stop or from the car park at the train stop, take the asphalt path uphill through the village of Khünburg on path 20, initially the same as to the Khünburg ruins. At the spring, however, turn right onto path 249, cross a mostly dry stream bed, then cross the forest until you reach a gravel path. Climbing eastwards on this path, we reach the striking rock next to the path, which is known as the Mother of God rock because of its shape. Very beautiful view of Lake Presseggersee, the walk to here takes about 1 hour.

Return route option 1:
The descent is the same as the ascent.

Return option2: (This option is marked on the map!)
Descent as a circular route; continue along the gravel path, past the Zanklgrotte grotto below to the Seeblickfelsen rock. There steep, mostly very slippery descent to the SE, then on paths 16 and 12 heading W (partly next to the main road) back to Khünburg and the starting point.

This variant takes an additional 1 ½ hours and is less strenuous in the opposite direction.
